
Ken McKay – General Manager

Ken has been the General Manager and part owner of MTC since 2015. Before coming to MTC he was the Director of Tennis for 18 years at Woodlake Swim and Racquet Club. Prior to that he enjoyed being the Director of Tennis at Mount Auburn Tennis Club outside of Boston, MA. Ken graduated from the University of Maryland where he played his college career and earned a BA in business with a minor in economics. Ken married his college sweetheart and is blessed to have 3 wonderful adult young men and their wives in his life.
As General Manger, his main focus is to have a strong fun-filled membership experience and a wonderful facility that can be enjoyed by all members and their guests, as well as a top-notch teaching program for all levels and ages of tennis players.
Our motto here at the club: “Where Friends and Family Play!”
As we have a fantastic teaching staff already, Ken still finds some time in between to
teach the “McKay Way” a few hours a week!

Lynn Bybee – Head Tennis Professional
Serving Since: 2017
Lynn is passionate about the game of tennis and has an extensive background in all phases of the game with a major focus on technique, strategy, tactics and improving your game. At the age of 12, he decided he wanted to be a tennis pro, and has never regretted that decision. His love for the game shows in his work ethic. He enjoys teaching beginners to elite players and helping each player develop to their full potential no matter what their level of play is. Many of his students achieved national rankings and went on to play college tennis.
Lynn joins us from Midlothian Athletic Club where he was a pro for 7 years. Previously, he was Tennis Director at Willow Oaks Country Club for 10 years. He also directed the tennis program at Oakwood County Club in Lynchburg and was the Head Pro at Army Navy Country Club in Arlington.
He is also an accomplished player. Some of his past rankings include: #1 in the Mid-Atlantic in the Men’s Open, and #4 in the U.S. and #46 in the world in the 35 and over age division. He qualified twice for the senior tour which included McEnroe, Borg and Connors.
Lynn is a certified Elite Pro by the USPTA. Other certifications include: USTA High Performance Coaching, USTA Sport Science.

Neil Perron – Assistant Head Pro, Junior Pro
Serving Since: 2023
Neil loves teaching tennis for all ages and abilities. He really enjoys discussing the modern game and strategy, and wants to share his passion and knowledge for tennis.
Stringing and customizing tennis racquets is a big part of what Neil enjoys, he is the current stringer for the men’s and Women’s VCU tennis teams.
Neil is a Methodist University Graduate, where he studied Professional Tennis Management. The program gives him knowledge in all aspects of tennis and managing tennis facilities. He studied teaching methods, Tournament administration, racquet repair, and club management in this program.
Neil Played tennis at Methodist university. He enjoys playing usta leagues, Club Challenge, and fun tennis still.
Neil is a certified Elite Pro by the USPTA. Other certifications include: U.S.T.A. Sports science certified level 1, Dartfish video analysis software.

Jackie Gonzales – Assistant General Manager/ Membership Director

Hi, I’m Jackie Gonzales! I joined MTC in April ’25 and am excited to step into my new role as Assistant General Manager. I recently moved to Midlothian from Peachtree City, GA, and quickly fell in love with the local tennis community—it truly feels like home.
I’ve been playing tennis since I was 15 and recently got back into the game competitively. I’m a strong 3.5–4.0 tennis player and a 4.0 pickleball player, and I love both sports and the people who play them! My background is in business management, sales, and customer service, and I studied Business Administration and Finance at Georgia State University.
I’m passionate about helping others enjoy their time on and off the court and am working toward becoming a certified tennis instructor. I look forward to supporting our members and growing with the MTC family!

Chris Geoghegan – Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor

With nearly nine years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Chris brings a strong commitment to ensuring facility operations run smoothly and efficiently.
With years of experience here, he has developed a passion for tennis and achieved a 3.5 USTA rating.
Recently, he has pursued further education at BrightPoint Community College, looking to enhance his skills and knowledge for continued professional growth.

Colin Keyser – Tennis Instructor

Colin is a dedicated Tennis Instructor with a passion for leadership and sports education.
As a Tennis Instructor, Colin combines technical expertise and a motivating teaching style to help players of all skill levels improve their game. With a commitment to fostering growth both on and off the court, Colin balances management excellence with a love for athletic coaching.
When not on the courts, Colin is an adventure enthusiast who thrives in the great outdoors. Whether it’s hiking scenic trails, paddle boarding, or sharing quality time with friends and family under the open sky, I’m always seeking ways to connect with nature and loved ones.
